The interview was overall a relaxed, informative, and positive process where I got the chance to ask questions where something was unclear. The first part of the interview was focused on my GitHub projects and portfolio, with questions both around my previous work as well as more specific JavaScript-related questions. The second part of the interview was a tech test in Python, with issues the developers had previously faced in real life. A great thing about it was that, although I had not previously dealt with Python, the Senior Python Engineer who guided me through the challenges was very good at explaining concepts I was unfamiliar with - not leading me to the answer, but providing the language context and explaining the quirks so I could how Python works differently than JavaScript. It was a really positive experience and, despite being nervous (as this is my first job in the industry), I was quickly put at ease by how relaxed and supportive the interviewers were at every step.
