They reached out to schedule an interview. Received positive feedback after that, I was told that I was a potential candidate and the interview panel had a good discussion afterwards. Followed up multiple times. They kept telling me they had not decided, due to missing key team members who were on vacations, being busy with work...and would let me know if a decision was made. Well, turned out they didn't have serious intentions to hire. The job posting had been up for 4 months already before I interviewed with them. Seems like this company has those evergreen job postings and they will wait until that unicorn candidate appear. They never give me a rejection. I feel like at least they should have rejected me instead of stringing candidates along and getting their hopes up by saying how satisfied they were with the candidates but never actually extend an offer.
