      Software Developer Interview

      20 May 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Brookfield, WI
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Milwaukee Tool (Brookfield, WI) in May 2015

      Interview

Applied online, got phone call from hiring manager next day. Was brought in a couple weeks later for a three stage in person interview with different people on the team. Was asked to provide a sample application to demonstrate skill level. Received offer same afternoon as in person interview, with a salary above the range I was asking for.

      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Milwaukee Tool

      Interview

First round was a standard hr screening where recruiter asked about background/experience with different technologies, etc. very straightforward Second round was IMO longer than necessary - consisted of 5 onsite interviews back-to-back with a variety of different people. Great to meet all of them. I did not get an offer, which is fine, but I would've at least liked to have gotten some feedback given the time I put into the in-person interviews. Instead I got a generic "we are moving forward with other candidates" message from recruiter, and never heard back when I asked for feedback. No coding interviews but did get asked some system design questions

      Interview

Went through two rounds of interviews, one over the phone with HR, the second over zoom. The second round consisted of three 30-45 minute interviews. The employees seemed nice and professional, asked basic interview questions. After I was told that they you get back to me within a week or two. Unfortunately I was never contacted again, even after I reached out.
