I did a 15 minute phone interview with HR, followed by a Director level interview and a Sr. Director level interview. Everything was well communicated, for a smaller company, and the process from when HR first reached out to when I found I didn't get the position was one month. The last two interviews were close together, followed by a wait of two weeks, which makes me think that they were moving up other candidates through and confirming another offer before they let me know I wasn't going to get an offer.
