In depth interview process, with a very nice and trustful process and peoples. I really enjoyed that.
At the end they make a background check, very in depth with drug test, long term alcohol test, and many other things which deeply violating your personal rights, like your health history, you social and financial environment, and reading risks out of it in way which can only be called ridiculous.
They declined because of something which has nothing to do with the job itself (if its about drugs or alcohol I could have agreed a bit, even if this has not much to do if you deliver high quality solutions or not, but that was not the case). They where also not really able to tell me why they see this as a risk and I don't understand it as well.
The contract draft contains clauses like:
The employer has the right to adjust the salary in a manner the employer deemed appropriate.
Or a fixed working time which is not state of the art since ages anymore.
But the contract was negotiable I think.
So even if I liked the interviews, the rest of the process was for my taste to much violating my personal rights. Searching for someone with 30 years experience in job which has had no life before is a bit contrary.
