I applied through university. I interviewed at Microsoft
Interview
It was an on-campus interview at my university. I was called for the first round through the campus career fair. The interview lasted for around half an hour and was easy enough to get me to the next round at Redmond.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Design question: How would you design a restroom for the handicapped (which includes the blind, the deaf and the people on a wheelchair)
Programming question (Really simple): Write a program to reverse a string.
Straightforward technical loop overall, with strong interviewers at every stage. I genuinely enjoyed the in-depth conversations around technical challenges and algorithmic problem-solving — the entire process felt well-structured and genuinely engaging.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Microsoft (Bangalore Rural) in Jun 2026
Interview
The interview was hard, even as a fresher the dsa they asked was hard category after I checked on leetcode. Though I couldn't solve it. Some of the other people who interviewed were asked easy - medium dsa
The interview was a long process. There was first the recruiter screen, which was followed by a 4-loop interview structure that covered technical, behavioral, and system design. The interviewers were very kind and accommodating.
