I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Metromile (San Francisco, CA) in Sept 2021
Interview
Hands down, one of the nicest interview experiences in the recent times!
I applies through a referral and the recruiter reached back immediately to discuss regarding the role and checked on my future career goals to confirm a match for the role. Once done, I was called for a technical phone screen which lasted for 45 mins and included my previous experience for 15-20 mins and a medium-hard level leetcode question. Was moved to the f2f round immediately and the recruiter was extremely patient in helping me switch through and choose 2 day time slots for the virtual on-site. The on-site panel(All the rounds) consisted of 2 coding interviews, 1 systems design round, 1 database design round, 1 big data core and a couple of behavioral. All the members of the panel were highly patient and were to-the point without any inconsistency in the questions being asked. Focus was on helping the candidate pass through instead of grilling down.
