I applied online. I interviewed at Meta (Palo Alto, CA) in Feb 2018
Interview
It was an algorithm but the interviewer speaks very poor english so I couldn't understand the problem at all and I failed.
the algorithm was about stacks, so it was not that hard but not understanding the interviewer starts to frustrate you and commit dumb mistakes or just get lost totally
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
an algoritm question that I don't recall at the moment
It started with an initial recruiter call to discuss the role and expectations. This was followed by a technical phone screen focusing on coding challenges. The onsite consisted of two LeetCode-style coding rounds, two system design interviews, and one behavioral round. Afterward, there was an additional onsite follow-up focused on behavioral questions
Terrible. The interviewer didn't even introduce himself and provided no guidance whatsoever. There was literally a 5 minute gap of silence. By far one of the worst experiences I've had at a Big Tech company
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
NDA so I can't divulge the question but it was standard grid traversal algo
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Meta (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2025
Interview
1 screening (coding question)
2 coding rounds - 2 questions in each LC medium
1 system design - not a standard design question.
1 behavior - general behavior questions. Most difficult.
