I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Mestek in Feb 2025
Interview
The process began with a recruiter screen followed by an onsite with the hiring manager and other interested parties. Final round was an onsite with senior leadership.
Things went smoothly for the most part until the time came in which they made an offer. I was given a verbal offer over the phone in which we reached an agreement on compensation. I asked when I would be provided something in writing and was told within a few days. After another week or so, I received an email stating that the role they were hiring for was now on hold and being reclassified. The title was changed and the pay would be cut by 15% of what we had verbally agreed upon but that I was welcome to be considered for this role instead.
I informed them that I would not be moving forward with them at that point, and luckily I did not turn away any of my other prospects based on their verbal offer.
All in all, I spent around 5-6 weeks and 3 onsite visits for them to change things up at the last minute. I would be cautious in dealing with this organization and rate my experience as negative.
