Technical test was a simple weather app, completed basic requirements and even finished optional tasks. Company clearly found someone else already but decided to lie when asked for feedback about the test as to why i failed it.
Code reviewer did not have basic understanding of object referencing and assumed decoupling from state is the equivalent of preventing re rendering. No attempts made to even clarify this.
Stated that deployment of the app is part of the considerations - I fail to understand your intention behind the test at this point, no one in the right mind will require candidates to deploy the solution without mentioning this in the requirements itself. Some bold assumptions you are making here.
Waste of time to interview with them unless you are the first few candidates
