I went through multiple interview rounds for this position. First was just a general screening with a recruiter, then with the Creative Director and then the rest of the team. I was also informed that I was an early candidate and there would be some time before a decision was made, fair enough. It wasn't until three weeks after meeting the team that I received an automated rejection email informing me that the position was filled, despite following up multiple times to stay in the loop. I also followed up asking for feedback of where I came up short, but as of writing this hasn't been responded to and I don't think I'll get one.
This was an overall positive experience but my issue comes from the end of the process. While I did appreciate the heads up that making a decision would take some time, the lack of communication afterward wasn't great. It also rubbed me the wrong way that the automated rejection email contained a line about selling their product, which I don't think I've seen before.
So unfortunately, I walk away from a role that I was quite excited about and prepared heavily for without anything to go off of to improve.
