      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Meltwater (São Paulo, São Paulo)

      Interview

ão recomendo. Claramente falta gestão de pessoas. COLD-CALLING JOB.

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Meltwater (Austin, TX) in Sept 2017

      Interview

I originally talked to Meltwater at a career fair, and talked to them about their company. They followed up with me and invited me to participate in a 30-minute phone interview with the Managing Director. The Managing Director asked me a few questions about my interest in the company, and she outlined the position that I was interviewing for and the day to day responsibilities. After the 30 minute phone interview, they invited me into the office for a 2 hour group interview. There were 4 other people in the group interview with me, and it was very informal. They gave a presentation to us about the company, the culture, and what the position entails. Then, each of us talked a little bit about ourselves and gave a sales pitch. After we left, they told us that they would follow up within the hour as to whether we would be called back for an individual interview or not. I was not invited back for the individual interview, but overall, I enjoyed the interview process.

Sales Consultant and International Management Program Interview

      29 May 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Manchester, England
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Meltwater (Manchester, England) in May 2017

      Interview

4 Stages 1. Phone call. Getting to know the applicant. Was asked 'what makes a good manager' 2. Group interview, getting to know the company. Presentation and questions. I was a great way to get to understand the company more. 3. Group interview. Panel of 8 Managers it conference room, 10 interviewees. Learnt even more about the company, and the kind of personalities who work there. Got the chance to present for 3/5 minutes three times. Good interview tasks. We were asked to think of reasons why a sales call may be rejected and who could we counteract the issues. E.g. If a customer is stuck in a contract with a rivalry, in response, ask what they are offered by the rival, and how long the contract it. Let them know that you can offer them much more at a better price, and if they are happy with that you shall call them after the client's contract has finished. 4. Individual interview. Very intimidating and intense as it was one against a panel of eight! One the spot questions on strengths and weaknesses. The managing director, really dug in deep with weaknesses, and why these weaknesses exist. I also got asked about other people from the previous interview, who I thought did well and why? Moreover, there was a fun task of taking part in a mock sales call. After the first call, I was asked what I thought I did badly and why. I got further feedback and then was asked to take part in another mock call to add in improvements Overall the company seems to be one with strong values and a good culture. An amazing company if sales is what you want to go into. Not sure why a degree is a requirement for the role though. It pays well too!
