Really very poor interview technique from Medtronic. They were about 5 to 10 minutes late, and one of the interview panel didn't turn up until after the interview had started. I think somebody's phone may have rang as well.
The room was a fairly small room, they (3 people) sat one side of a table and I sat with my back to a wall a couple of feet away on the other side. I couldn't have sat at the table as it would have been just a bit too up close and personal.
It was clear that they hadn't read my CV and when they discovered that I didn't have a particular experience (which I hadn't claimed to have) they lost all interest.
Interview was very one sided. They'd ask a question. I'd answer and then they'd move on to the next question. Absolutely no interaction or questioning which gave a distinct impression that they were only going through the motions.
The lead interviewer checked his watch about 3 or 4 times during the interview which only lasted about 30 minutes. Gave me the feeling that he wanted to be somewhere else.
For a company which claims to value it's employees it was really poor.
I've interviewed around a 100 people in the last 18 months and I've never conducted myself like that in an interview.
