I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Medallia (Buenos Aires) in Jan 2017
Interview
The interview process is long and supposed to be:
1 Technical screening
3 On site technical evaluations
1 "Cultural" interview
I first has an interview with a very polite person from the UK that passed the CV to the team in Argentina. It was through Skype and was a typical HR interview.
Then I had a technical screening through Skype having to do some basic programming around arrays algorithms. That took about an hour.
The next step was practically the same but in person in the Medallia offices in Buenos Aires. It was solving an array algorithm to decide whether or not a point was inside a closed geometric figure.
Everything was going well until I received an email from the Buenos Aires HR team because they could not reach me by phone (on a Friday and on a Monday... that does not sound like a very truthful story).
I only received an email saying that they would not continue the interviewing process without providing any reasons. I found this very unprofessional and disrispectful. They could have provided a more detailed explanation like "we ran out of money", "you asked for too much money", "you did not pass the tests as expected", "you do not fit our snobist culture", or whatever. This is not a first interview and even though I have other offers that are better than this one, I will never consider to apply to Medallia or would I recommend it. This is no proper way to treat professionals.
