I interviewed at McMaster-Carr (Philadelphia, PA) in Aug 2013
Interview
I submitted my resume through my university. I got a call within a few days. Mostly general questions about leadership and project management experience. The interviewer was very enthusiastic and asked about competing offers and salary expectations. They seem not to care about your background, as long as you come from an Ivy League school.
The recruiter called me and asked me general questions about my style and related management experience. She told me a little more about the position. The general management role involves working on business processes, projects, etc. I never heard back from the recruiter after the initial phone call.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at McMaster-Carr
Interview
A recruiter from McMaster-Carr contacted me and set up a phone interview. Even though I had sent my resume directly to the recruiter, she started the interview by asking whether I had sent my resume and then attempting to find it in her inbox. The disorganization was off-putting. The interview itself was pretty straightforward, with a resume walkthrough and some follow-up questions.
