I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at McDonald's (Pitsea, England) in Feb 2018
Interview
I applied online and got an email about being accepted for an interview. The interview was a group interview of around 5/6 people and they had the whole interview planned. After receiving an offer the next day there was a second interview/session to collect uniform, add availability, and sign contracts. The whole process takes about a week and they guarantee that the interview will take place on a Monday, the second session on the following Thursday and then the following Monday will be the trial shift at the restaurant you applied to. That was great because it enabled you to book your interview when you knew you were available.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They sent through information to the night before about what the company if about and what the job entails. Then at the interview, they then asked us questions related to what we had been sent.
The interview process for a McDonald’s Crew Member position was straightforward, friendly, and focused on basic customer service and teamwork skills. The Hiring Manager asked simple questions about availability, previous experience, reliability, and handling customer interactions. The interview was welcoming, entry-level, and designed to assess attitude and willingness to learn.

Question 1
What experience do you have working in a team environment?
A group interview setting. Very casual, and involved discussing things in a group. You partake in icebreakers, and some roleplay relevant to the workplace. They take note of who is speaking the most confidently and leading tasks.

Question 1
"Tell me about a time you worked in a group and someone didn't cooperate. How did you handle it?"
Very easy- mainly ask about availability and hours you are willing to work. Also ask about previous jobs/ experience if any. I would say that it was one of the easiest interviews I have ever had.
