I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at MaxLinear (Chennai) in Dec 2014
Interview
Technical test: Mainly on DSP fundamentals, Detection theory, Probability etc.
Technical round: First they will ask how did you do the test? Some questions from test itself. They will ask you questions related to DSP like Filter design, DFT, Pole-zero plot, Sampling theorem and its affect such as Aliasing.
Interview is easy and they will test only fundamentals. The panel is really helpful and friendly. Overall a good experience
It just had one step. I got an email regrading phone interview HR and then It took a just 5 min. I did not accept the salary expectation and finished our conversation

Interview
The interview was good, I answered every question, interviewers were smart, but had to decline the offer because the HRs made a bad deal and refused to connect me to the hiring managers, they used a classic strategy i told a number 6x, they said they can only pay 5x and made me agree to 5.3x, I accepted the deal so that I can resign early and accepted a much better deal and rejected maxlinear, glassdoor says they well, but I am very disappointed
