Applied online and recieved an invitation a few days later to meet with the hiring manager. Went through a one hour conversation that explained the role, expectations and briefly discussed my background. I was then invited to a 2nd round interview that composed of a workforce management planning scenario. I had 10 minutes to complete the scenario and then discussed it with the hiring manager. I explained my thoughts and then answered a few remaining questions with the time left.
I followed up with a thank you note to the hiring manager and received no reply. Three weeks went by so I reached out to the recruiter who replied back several days later that they had moved forward with another candidate.
Honestly, a very disappointing and unprofessional experience overall. If somebody takes the time out of their day to thank you (whether they were a good fit or not), the minimum you owe them is an acknowledgment but to ghost people, especially in Covid is quite rude, not classy and paints a poor picture of the hiring manager, recruiter and company in general.
Glad I did not move forward in the process. These people are clearly clueless and do not have any sense of respect or clear communication regardless of "how busy we are".
