      Senior ML Engineer Interview

      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Mathpix Snip in Oct 2025

      Interview

Disorganized and Clueless Leadership Drove a Messy Interview Process I recently completed two successful interview rounds, a technical deep dive and a coding round that involved solving a LeetCode hard problem. I finished both rounds successfully, and I received direct affirmation that my background and expertise were "great", and I will move forward with next interview. After the two interviews, I was completely ghosted, only to receive a generic, no-feedback rejection email several days later. This lack of professionalism was the capstone to an overall chaotic process. The scheduling was easy but a major headache, characterized by last-minute reschedules and interviewers who simply didn't show up, forcing a time-wasting back-and-forth to get things sorted. Even more concerning was the apparent disconnect between the roles and the people conducting the evaluations: I had individuals with completely unrelated bachelor's degrees attempting to lead complex machine learning assessments. While the product itself seems fantastic, it is clear that the management and leadership are acutely lacking in vision, experience, and direction. This organization's inability to manage a basic recruitment process suggests a significant, clueless void at the top.
