Probably the worst interview experience I have ever gone through in my 7+ years of engineering interviews. Process goes HR screening > Manager Interview > Technical Interview > Panel Interview.
While the first two interview steps were pleasant, my technical interview was with two of the team members. Each took turns asking questions. While one was friendly and seemed engaged, the second engineer was visibly on their phone for close to half of the entire duration of the interview. They never smiled, and would never provide any additional context or clarity after receiving an answer to a question; just dismissive confirmation and straight back to their phone.
The most disheartening technical interview I have ever done. It was a complete waste of everyone's time. Regardless of my fit for the technical requirements of a role, why should I bring my 110% to an interview process when one of your evaluators can't even give me 50% of their attention?
