I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Macy's (New York, NY)
Interview
I mentioned that I had no previous retail experience, yet all of the interview questions were based on having prior experience. Wasn't surprised that I didn't get an offer. However, the recruiter shouldn't have scheduled an interview with me if they had known I had no experience (I wrote this on my resume AND cover letter).
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Macy's (Leawood, KS) in Feb 2024
Interview
There were three separate in person interviews. First with Macy’s retail managers, second with the counter manager, and third with someone who works for Lancôme on the outside. I thought I applied as a Beauty Counter Associate, so I was thrown for a loop when I was asked what my favorite Lancôme product was and if I researched the company before applying. Oops! So I did not get the job. It was a typical retail process up until meeting with the Lancôme representative. They want to make sure you are very passionate about the brand and products.
