In person interview with 1 professor and 2 other interviewers. Asked about my skills (e.g. statistics, animal handling) and future intentions with the group. Interested in availability to use a mouse model to study neurodegenerative diseases such as cerebellar ataxia.

It was a smooth procedure. It took one week to process towards the interview. The panel was really friendly and warm. Explained their project scientifically. And the questions were related to my experiences.

I was offered the job via word of mouth after having coffee with an academic. I don’t know many research assistants who interviewed for the role they currently have. I think it’s predominantly internal hires.
