Wish I could had read some advice like this one I am writing today here in Glassdoor before I dare to apply for a middle-management role at MSC in Geneva. I saw an interesting sales role in their website, I was not impressed by the "fancy" recruitment cockpit, but I gave it a try.... wrong move! It was difficult to navigate and it took a long time to load the documents (it crashed all the time!).
Worse was to come. After a few days I received an "machine generated email", it said my application was successful passing to the second stage, it also asked me to go back to the cockpit, to do a few online test. I completed 2 test, which was a personality test and English proficiency test (btw the words they were "testing" were ridiculous non-sense). After a few days, I received another email, saying that I needed to complete 4 MORE test, otherwise I would be out of the process.......in theory each test "takes 20 min", but it was not true, as you need to get familiar with the instructions and the "example questions". Completing these 4 test took me almost 3 hours of my time.
In less than 24 hrs I received yet another machine generated email, to let me know that "your application was not successful". I then search for a phone to contact HR to ask for a better feedback, but it was impossible to get the right number, so I wrote 3 times to the "HR recruitment" email address they provide in their website, but I never heard from anyone in MSC HR department. I wanted to know at least the results of the test, I consider it was the minimum feedback they could provide.
The whole process was an absolute shambles, worse after a few days I received another "machine generated" email, asking my feedback about the process....Of course I deleted it, as they never had the courtesy to reply to my several email or give me a call.
