Question 1
Tell me about a time when you worked on a team. Do you have any financial background?
I applied online. I interviewed at MFS (Boston, MA) in Jul 2025
Interview
Process: 1) Phone screen with recruiter 2) 1:1 with Hiring manager 3) Onsite to meet with various team members
I applied April 30 and was contacted in mid June for a phone screen. After some rescheduling, I had my first call with the recruiter, which went well. A week later (after following up), I was set up for a 1:1 with the hiring manager in mid July. That conversation was also positive, and I was invited onsite on July 24.
The onsite itself was great. The team was personable, seemed to enjoy their work, and had long tenure at MFS. After that, the process collapsed. The recruiter left the company without telling me, talent acquisition ignored my emails, and even the general TA inbox gave me nothing. Later I saw the role reposted with no closure on my candidacy. The strange part is my Workday account still doesn’t show I was rejected, so I’ve just been left in limbo.
This was a very disappointing conclusion after what was genuinely a good experience with the engineering team. Even a short email with a decision goes a long way in maintaining goodwill and respect. Do better.
