      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Lyft (Denver, CO) in Nov 2018

      Interview

I applied for a position at Lyft through a current employee. The next day a recruiter named Will contacted me. Went through some CV questions and some questions regarding past experience. The next day I had a phone interview with the hiring manager - mainly situational questions. At the end of the talk, informed me that I would receive a home assignment to complete - 1.5 hours Analytics and Excel test. After a few days I was informed I would be interviewing on-site - 45 min presentation and a total of 3 hours including 3 one-on-ones and a panel with co-workers. Two days later I was informed the hiring manager had some follow-up questions and a call was set up for a few days later. The follow up questions included a test case to evaluate how I think and some specific questions regarding things that came up in the interviews. Recruiter then contacted me after a few days and set up a call to inform me they would extend an offer. Overall Great experience - very straight forward and quick and clear at every stage what where the next steps. The interview process gave me a much more in-depth feel about the role.

      Interview

Very long interview process, with many hoops to jump through. Two or three recruiter screens before talking to a hiring manager. Worth it in the end. Best company I’ve ever worked for.

      Operations Lead Interview

      6 Dec 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Lyft

      Interview

Interview process took over 2 months. Started off with a phone interview with the recruiter who asked some basic things about you and your background. Next step in the process was a data analysis and mathematics exam. The exam I took consisted of 16 questions. Following a good score you move on to a phone interview with the Operations Manager. Last portion of the process is 4x30 minute interviews with members of the team. The recruitment process at Lyft is chaotic and unorganized. I struggled to receive any information from my recruiter during any point in the process. I would have to consistently reach out and request to updated. Half of the time he said would update me at a certain date but never did until I asked yet again. Terrible communication. In addition, the Operations manager who runs the entire operation in the area was extremely unprofessional and seemed like he did not care. On the phone interview he would constantly mute his phone when I was speaking and when unmuted I could hear him laughing and talking to someone else in person. He barely asked any questions and did care to explain the position in detail. He generally seemed uninterested in what he was doing.
