Met with a recruiter and then a manager and was invited to create and record a presentation, I sent it in and was booked for a panel interview that I prepped for and 24 hours before that interview they cancelled it and said the job they posted as remote would no longer be remote, but did ask me if I was willing to relocate to Austin. Keep in mind the whole time I let them know I would either have to be remote or in Denver which they assured me would be okay.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Luxury Presence in May 2026
Interview
The interview process was clearly outlined from the beginning, and I appreciated the transparency around each step. The team was professional, communicative, kind, and respectful of my time throughout the process. The interview style created space for me to thoughtfully share my experience and showcase how my background aligned with the role. I also appreciated how quickly things moved and how prepared each interviewer was during the conversations. Overall, it was a very positive experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How do you prioritize work within a book of business?
The recruiter had obviously never looked at my resume prior to our phone call. I was extremely prepared for the phone call (perhaps over prepared); but it ultimately was a waste of my time, because she hadn’t even looked at my experience nor did she know much about the role. I have several years of onboarding experience within luxury real estate at a managerial level, but I wasn’t even considered for the role because I don’t manage a team of ICs. It felt disrespectful of my time, because I never once claimed to manage a team. If that’s a requirement, then don’t invite me to interview.
