Spanish Faculty - Full Time- Tenure track Interview

      8 Mar 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lower Columbia College

      Interview

Ridiculous. Extremely long (more than one hour long), twelve questions that required long, elaborate answers, 8 interviewers who would ask questions mechanically without any kind of follow-up questions (because they were trying to fit those 12 questions/answers in an hour) and none of them from the area they were hiring. Awful planning and time management from people supposedly trained for this. One of the interviewers openly criticized the current/prior Spanish faculty and blamed them for the low enrollment in their courses. Really disappointing.
