Interview process was fairly smooth with 4 stages including a technical interview portion. All interviewees were very supportive and communication was maintained throughout the stages up until the last stage/offer.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Logz.io (Tel Aviv-Yafo) in Dec 2025
Interview
meaningful conversation. During the call, the recruiter openly mentioned that the company had recently gone through significant layoffs, affecting approximately 30–40% of the workforce.
It was also explained that the role would be a one-person position within the data function, with no existing internal data team. The work is currently dependent on an external consulting company, with uncertainty regarding whether this collaboration will continue in the future.
Overall, it appeared that the data department is not yet mature or well-established. The role itself seemed quite unclear and very broad, combining responsibilities across data analysis, data engineering, and BI, without a defined scope, clear ownership, or structured team support.
While transparency about the company’s current situation was appreciated, the lack of clarity around the role, team structure, and long-term direction raised concerns about expectations, workload, and professional growth.
