I went through three rounds, first with a recruiter, second with the hiring manager, and third with the VP. The VP had told me at the end of the interview I was a great fit, had no reservations, and would move me along to the final round. Two days later, the recruiter told me they were going in a different direction, and when asking for what happened they refused to provide any feedback. It is completely unacceptable to tell any candidates to their face they will be moving to the next round to then shift directions and provide no explanation. That said, seeing the horrible reviews on this site, perhaps this should be expected.
