      Technical Operations Manager Interview

      30 Jul 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at LiveRamp

      Interview

Interview process was very upfront. I was told it would be two phone interviews followed by an onsite interview. The first phone interview went well. Super friendly people and we bounced questions off each other for a while. I waited a week and went to reach back out, as instructed, when the hiring manager tried to tell me that he contacted me to schedule the second interview and I did not respond to his email. I recieved no email in any of my emails or any of my spam emails. When we scheduled the second phone interview, we scheduled it to be between 9:30 and 10:30. After 11:00, I had recieved no phone call. I reached out and was told that the interview person was not feeling well. I recieved zero notice about this and even moved around my current jobs calls to accomidate this interview. This was annoying but wasn't a deal breaker. After the second interview happened, I was asked to complete a prompt. Luckily another company had already given me an offer. I know that today, this is normal for companies to ask for an assignment to be completed but in most cases its small. The assignment was rather large and they wanted it within a week. To me, this showed that the company does not have a great worklife balance and that was a major turnoff. Most people, including myself, have very little time for extra items on our lives outside of the office. The project assigned also seemed that it wasn't even geared to the work I was told I was to be doing. The position summary gave very little detail as well.

Thank you for your feedback. We will certainly share your views on the project with the hiring team as the last thing we want to do is elongate the hiring process nor require extreme amounts of time from our candidates. We wish you the best of luck on your new role!
