I had an initial 30min interview with HR with standard questions.
As a second step I received a case study with 2 tasks:
1) Prepare a Commercial analysis of the market where Lingoda operates ( including market overview, market segmentation, vendor comparison, go to market strategy) and also an analysis on Lingoda's positioning and future strategy.
2) a P&L projection for the next 5 years (I received an excel file with some data).
And their request was to make a presentation of 20 pages.
I have worked in consulting, I know how to structure a task like this and of course I have a deep knowledge of powerpoint&excel.
I have to admit that I could have submitted a much more detailed analysis/strategy but obviously I stopped at a high level analysis because my goal was to demonstrate that I have the skills to do a similar job, not to provide them with a presentation for free.
The feedback I received was incredibly superficial and not very detailed.
In my opinion, this was a very bad experience and I even have doubts that the process is aimed at receiving free work from candidates and not to select potential new employees.
