      Business Analyst Interview

      18 Nov 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Lime (San Francisco, CA)

      Interview

The recruiter was 18 minutes late to our scheduled interview. She was extremely nice, and moved me on to the next round, but I had to email her trying to figure out if our interview was still going to happen. Then, I had a half hour phone interview with someone on the team. The interview went okay, but he seemed a little rigid and not personable. Months after the interview, they have still not given me a response, which is fine, since I went with an offer from another company, but I felt that it was extremely unprofessional of them to not provide a response.

      Business Analyst Interview

      3 Oct 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Mateo, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Lime (San Mateo, CA)

      Interview

Initially, the process was great... I reached out to the recruiter, he got in touch with me, got me setup with my first interview and immediately after, set me up with my second phone interview. And then was reached out to again to setup an in person. Great... i thought everything was going well. And then I went in and did the interview in person. Mostly everyone was nice except for one guy (head of strategy and planning) that seemed to be more busy on his computer and Slack-ing away rather than interviewing me (and no he was not taking notes...). Perhaps it made sense due to what followed: So Im thinking that the interview went great and was eager to hear back. I wait 1 week... no response. I emailed and asked if there was any update... no response. For a company that was very receptive and quick initially, i was surprised and assumed maybe they didn't like me. I thought I was ghosted. After numerous emails and about 2 weeks after, I got one of those generic rejection emails that you get when you apply online and your application isn't event considered for a phone interview. For someone that invested so much time and went into the office in person and interviewed, don't you guys have enough respect to give a phone call and tell me why I was rejected???!! I emailed back and asked for some feedback and still haven't heard from them. It's been 2 months now. Here's the funny thing... that job listing is STILL on their website. Many people have mentioned this in their reviews, but I think these guys just have some quota of interviewing people but not actually making a hire. I don't think they were ever going to hire someone for this role. They pretty much just wasted my time. My suggestion for someone thats interviewing here, make sure the job role is newly opened and that they really are hiring for it. And don't be afraid of being ghosted after an in person interview. Listen LimeBike, i know you guys are growing quickly and have the potential for success... but screw ups in things like this WILL cost you and you're never going to retain talent nor will you hire the best talent from the industry. Clean up your act. Have the decency to circle back with candidates with at least a personalized response. And Limebike... don't let your main recruiter (you know who i'm talking about) ruin your image. He was great initially... but completely ruined the experience at the end. Enough that I go out of my way to use Bird scooters instead of Lime.
