      Graphic Designer - Video Interview

      16 Nov 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Light & Wonder in Jun 2022

      Interview

IGNORED by L&W after doing work for free. --------------------------------------------------------- I applied for a Video / Graphic Designer job at L&W earlier in the year, after which I received a reply from one of the recruiting team asking for me to attend a 30 minute Video interview with one of their Marketing Managers. The interview went well in my opinion, and I was given a video design task to complete using assets and a premade video that were to be provided to me. These were sent to me through a WeTransfer link by the recruiter I initially spoke with. I had 2 working days to complete this task. I completed this task within a day and sent it back through a WeTransfer link of my own and asked for confirmation from them they they would review it. The next day, I was alerted through email by WeTransfer that my deliverable had been downloaded by the recruiter. I then waited to hear back from them regarding its suitability. Two weeks passed and I heard back NOTHING. I sent a polite follow-up email reiterating that I was interested in this position, and asked for an update of some kind. However, they did not reply to this follow-up email. I wait a further 4 WEEKS and emailed them again, stating that I am aware that they must have gone ahead with recruiting someone else in that time; but I asked at least for some feedback on the work that I did for them, as this is valuable to me to improve. However, I received NO reply from them whatsoever after these follow up emails. I find this behaviour absolutely VILE considering I spent a day's worth of my time doing design work for this company. There is absolutely no excuse that can justify a recruitment team of a company of this size to COMPLETELY IGNORE candidates after they have spent hours of their time completing design work. Advice to the recruitment team: Fix this attitude.
