The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Lidl in Oct 2016
Interview
A "hiring event", 7 hour process with complete downtime. The only actual interaction with a Lidl representative was a 4 minute role play. This whole process was a complete and total waste of time. Nothing that the Lidl representatives had started on time. All were roughly 15 to 20 minutes late, showing a complete lack of respect for their candidates. The whole process could have been streamlined to probably an hour. There was pretty much a refusal to answer pretty basic questions about how they plan to operate and how many stores they are planning to hire for in the next year. Which is a very fair question when you have 50+ people in a room. I understand that there has to be a limit of the information that you are sharing, but hiring event interviews work both ways. The candidate is interviewing for a potential position and the company is interviewing for candidates.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Lidl (Sala Consilina) in Apr 2026
Interview
Colloquio effettuato da remoto con Recruiter del centro direzionale di Molfetta. Molto stimolante con domande su di me, sulla mia giornata tipo e sulle mansioni che svolgo presso l'azienda in cui lavoro attualmente.

Question 1
Come reagirei di fronte ad una problematica specifica che si verifica in store
Formal laid back to the point quite easy over all very generic basic questions that you would get in any other interview. Wouldn’t recommend place to work very poor structure no support by your line manager
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Lidl (Birmingham, England)
Interview
Difficult and challenging. Corporate. You will be asked lots of questions and those things you will never do. The interviewers seemed arrogant. Great pay but they will work you to the bone.
