The interview started off fine up until it shifted in conversation. The interview started off viewing my experiences, which is typical, but then the owner wanted to talk about his views on homelessness and the state government which... yes, I can understand, but you're at an interview, not therapy. Perhaps that seems a little harsh, but this continued for the majority of the interview. Job-wise: There was no structure to the Marketing position and very little to the Administrative tasks. The owner also had a very low budget -- so low that the pay offered at a (tentative) 15$ is not worth it.
Overall, I would have walked away from this experience without paying mind, but the next steps included a marketing pitch to be done over the weekend. I can understand not being hired, but to be completely ghosted on during the hiring process makes me think they took my document and ran off to do the marketing themselves.
Know your worth and make sure employers treat you with respect during interviews. A job is a two way street.
