A recruiter reached out to me after I applied online, asked me to answer a couple of questions regarding organic vs paid views, the technical aspect of coding for SEO, etc.. I replied back with my answers within a few days, but recruiter didn't get back to me for an entire month! I was vacationing abroad in the meantime, and when I got back, I decided to email the recruiter again.
The recruiter only then forwards my month-old responses to the hiring manager, then lets me know that the hiring manager wants to talk to me. We schedule a call. Hiring manager never calls me, and I waste my entire hour waiting for a call. I send an email asking if we can speak within the next 30 minutes, otherwise I'm free early on the next week. No response!
Apparently hiring manager was out of office that day, so there was clearly a miscommunication on their part. Didn't get a response from the hiring manager, but recruiter asked for more availability, which I provided immediately.
2-3 weeks pass with radio silence until I get an email from the recruiter saying that they have filled the position with someone who has a better background. Again, I'm not surprised by the lack of communication.
I am never applying to Levi's again. I've never had such a terrible recruiting process that had no end in sight. Their miscommunication really shows me what kind of culture they cultivate at Levi's, and I'm glad I did not go further in the interviewing process, otherwise I would have wasted more time.
