Interview
I applied online for the senior software engineer role in lenus eHealth and I had a highly positive experience with the company. The interview process was well-organized, transparent, and professional. I was impressed by the company culture and their vision in the health and fitness industry.
The interview process had four rounds:
• A video screening call with the recruiter, who was friendly and informative. He asked me about my background, skills, and motivation for the role. He also explained the next steps of the process clearly.
• A technical interview with the engineering manager, who focused on my experience in managing teams, my approach to agile methodologies, and my interactions with junior developers. He asked me thought-provoking questions and showed a commitment to finding the right fit.
• Cognitive and behavioral assignments, which I completed and received positive feedback on. The assignments were well-structured and reflected the company's expectations.
• A case interview with two software engineers, who asked me to present a case study assignment that I had done beforehand. The assignment was based on a real project that the company was working on, and it required me to document my solution and explain my choices. The engineers gave me constructive feedback and suggestions, and showed a genuine interest in my thought process.
I received a rejection email after the final round, which was disappointing, but I appreciated the feedback that they gave me. They told me that they chose another candidate who had more technical seniority, and they advised me to improve my skills and experience in frontend and backend development. They also invited me to keep an eye on their career site and apply for other opportunities in the future.
Overall, I had a positive and enjoyable experience with lenus eHealth, and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a challenging and rewarding career in the FitTech industry. They are a great company with a great team, and I wish them all the best.
