I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Lemonade Insurance (Scottsdale, AZ) in Feb 2023
Interview
As an internal candidate for a position, I had to interview with 4 different people regarding an open role. I was already a high performer and had been at the company for almost 3 years and still had to complete a lenghty interview process.

Recount prior experiences that make you a good fit for the role.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Lemonade Insurance (New York, NY) in Oct 2020
Interview
There were a series of 3 interviews. I started with a department head and was immediately turned off in progressing any further. I was later told that usually an HR rep will interview you first and give you more background info on the company. However, in my case that did not happen. I had researched the company thoroughly and had some questions about their business model. I approach interviews as a chance for me to interview the company as much as they are considering me. This concept seemed completely foreign to this person. They seemed annoyed by my questions. It felt like they had a preconceived idea of what all answers to their generic questions should be and if you strayed from that in any way they would suggest back to you what the ideal candidate should reply. I asked near the conclusion of our interview what their goals for the company or at least their department were for the next 5 years. I was told, "You know, 5 years is a really long time". I was basically coached by a recruiter to continue the interview process after that. I played along only to find out that this company was not hiring remote workers in the state in which I currently reside. After 4 1/2 months I was told they had the go ahead to recruit in my resident state and would be calling with an offer. The arranged time came and went. I emailed their HR rep my phone # after they emailed saying they didn't have it after all this time. Then nothing....until I get an email saying they had tried to reach out to me several times. The # in my prior email was correct. I checked my phone history as I had had other calls with no problems. I should've stopped wasting my time after the first interview with the immediate wrong feeling my intuition was giving me.
