My first interview was with a committee of attorneys and social workers. Second round is with the Director of Social Work in a 1-1 meeting.

Interview
No phone screening. Got a phone call asking to come for an interview, said it would be a panel of around 5 people. Received a phone call the day of asking for a reschedule for a few hours earlier. Panel consisted of 2 social work supervisors, one social worker, and 2 attorneys. Interview was truly a nightmarish experience. One of the attorneys was hellishly argumentative at every turn, and the interview lasted considerably longer than an hour. I would ask a question like, "In my experience, there are sometimes disagreements while working on an interdisciplinary team. Is this your experience?" and instead of answering, the attorney would ask "Well what do you think?" This happened too many times to count. The other employees seemed embarrassed by his badgering, but their efforts to rein him in were met with serious resistance by him. After the interview, they sat me down at a computer to complete a writing sample. Basic written advocacy piece and recommendations for the court.
