I applied through university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Leerink Swann (Washington, DC) in Mar 2019
Interview
The interview was based solely on technical questions in a rapid-fire fashion. My interviewer made limited effort to assess personality fit or to get to know me better and my experiences.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Leerink Swann (New York, NY) in Nov 2015
Interview
Seemed pretty straightforward overall. Know about healthcare as they are a healthcare focused boutique. Make sure you know you resume well and say something notable. You will get asked technicals, so make sure you know any stock pitches you've done listed on your resume, or case competitions, etc. Guy was cool though and asked me about my video game preferences (my stock was a gaming company).

Question 1
Why healthcare? Tell me about one of your pitches? How did you arrive at an upside share price and what were some of the drivers in your analysis? How can a company lower its cost of debt?

Interview
Submitted my resume through my university and was emailed about a week later for an interview. First round was an interview over the phone with a current Analyst. Started with "walk me through your resume" and followed with technical questions. Technical questions were both general accounting and DCF related and healthcare specific. Accounting questions were heavily emphasized (specifically walking through all three statements).
