I was living in another city when I started interviewing with Demand. The whole process was very painful, because the recruiter did a poor job of keeping me posted on the status of the position, or me as a prospect. I finally got an in-person interview when I contacted the recruiter and said that I was coming to town to look at houses, and asked if I could drop by the office and meet some of the folks that I interviewed with on the phone. Suddenly, there was this whole emphasis on getting me there to interview! And then, in spite of my having been very specific about my travel plans (self-funded by the way), the recruiting coordinator tried to set me up for an interview for when I wasn't going to be in town! All around, very poor communication throughout the process (many more snafus, even after I accepted the offer and showed up to start work).
