I applied online. I interviewed at Launch Math & Science Centers
Interview
Had a about three rounds. Interviewers were really nice and welcoming. Asked a lot of what would you do in this situation types of questions. Also asked a lot about past experiences with kids. Also asked in what conditions you would want to work.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Launch Math & Science Centers in Jun 2022
Interview
We set up a phone interview, and it went well. Scott was very friendly. He was a little bit late but it was understandable as there are a lot of children.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Launch Math & Science Centers (New York, NY) in Mar 2022
Interview
There were several red flags when I went for this interview.
First off, they were located in a basement and I had to walk down a very treacherous metal stairway, similar to a fire escape, in order to get in.
Secondly, the manager admitted that some of their teachers included Broadway actors. He claimed that they tend to be very outgoing, but, as somebody who has a BS degree and an MD, I found that reasoning to be very illogical and, frankly, very insulting.
Speaking of insults, he also made a very disparaging comment about the Huntington Learning Center, where I currently tutor, accusing us of promoting fear-mongering.
In all my years of tutoring with that company, I have never, EVER witnessed any kind of fear-mongering. Everybody there is very supportive and the results speak for themselves. Period.
