      Network Security Administrator Interview

      5 Dec 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Houston, TX
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Lantel Systems (Houston, TX) in Oct 2017

      Interview

Interviewers were late. They first started using a computer that was failing, and I could barely hear them. After they finally moved to a working computer, the interview did not go well. It seemed like they didn't know what they were looking for and talked about a position that was different than I originally heard about. After the interview, they extended an offer, but it was contract at first, instead of a full time role like they originally said. Their benefits were also mediocre. I decided to decline since they didn't seem to know what they wanted and couldn't say when the position would turn into what they wanted it to be.

As a company, we care about our current, and potential employees, and their experience matters to us. We are sorry that this candidate did not have a pleasant experience interviewing with us. This interview was set up as a Skype interview because the candidate was out of town. We experienced problems with the Skype connection and with the computer we were using. Upon connecting with the candidate we explained the issue and proceeded with the interview. Following the interview, we sent a contract-to-hire offer to the candidate for their consideration. He declined and we respected his decision. We wish this candidate all the best. Regards, Lantel Management
