I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Languages Unlimited (Medellín, Antioquia) in Aug 2024
Interview
After my initial video interview, I was invited for a face-to-face interview at the Quokka coworking office. Prior to the meeting, I emailed my salary expectations to ensure they were acceptable and to be respectful of everyone's time. Despite this, the interviewer still insisted on a face-to-face meeting, even after I had communicated my needs. During the interview, the interviewer mentioned flexible work arrangements multiple times, but it seemed that he was not sincere and was making empty promises. This experience confirmed my suspicions that the project director was not serious, and it validated the negative reviews I had heard about working at this company. I'm relieved that I didn't end up working for a company that doesn't value its employees' well-being. The interviewer also mentioned that I should live in a lower economic suburb or neighborhood because the office is located in a high-economic area, which I found to be despotic and rude. This confirmed the lack of good payment to live comfortably, as there were no salary benefits, only bonuses every 6 months that didn't cover health, transportation, and other benefits required by law.
I hope this is helpful to others.
