I applied for an HR role at Langley Trust and withdrew after two interviews because the whole process felt deeply unprofessional. Several parts of the assessment focused on my faith, and I was even asked to lead a prayer and provide a Christian reading. That crossed a line for me — it didn’t feel appropriate for a recruitment process and raised serious questions about boundaries and fairness.
The overall experience came across as uncomfortable, overly ideological, and not what I’d expect from an organisation hiring for a professional HR role. I left the process feeling that the culture and approach just weren’t right, either ethically or professionally. I wouldn’t recommend the experience based on what I saw.
