The interviewer seemed disenfranchised. They did not seem excited to work at the company and alluded to being unhappy with the executive team.
I declined to continue in the interview process. The corporate culture did not seem like it would work well for me, which was ironic given the company's mission.
After 3 hour-long interviews I learned there would be another interview, an hour-long personality test (including “SAT-style questions”), a "possibility paid" project, and a reference check…but that they were “not ready” to talk about the role’s salary range. At that point, despite liking the hiring manager and team members I’d met and being excited by the sound of the role and the company’s supposed mission, there were too many red flags to ignore so I rescinded my application.
