The interviewer was very good, and the interview process itself was also smooth. They asked simple and relevant questions, and nothing was extremely difficult.
However, the offer letter process after the interview was not handled in a very official or professional manner. Although the job was for TCS, it was through a third-party payroll company, LanceSoft, which was responsible for hiring. After informing me that I was selected, they first completed the documentation and background verification process instead of releasing the offer letter first.
Later, they sent the offer letter very late and did not conduct any HR round. Because of this, there was no proper opportunity to discuss the compensation or other terms. They also did not give enough time to review the offer. Although the offer had a three-day response timeline, they were continuously following up through calls and emails, asking me to join by the next day itself.
The offer was sent in the evening, and they expected confirmation and joining by the next morning, without giving proper time for decision-making or discussion. Since the process felt very rushed and pushy, I decided to decline the offer.
