The interview process was pretty simple and laid back. I’ll give them that. 1 phone call with the recruiter and 1 Zoom call with a panel of about 5 or 6 people. They each had the opportunity to ask me typical STAR questions and I had a well of experience and examples to draw from. I really thought I did great and would be a great fit for the company, as I have over 8 years experience in the industry.
However, I can only assume I wasn’t extended an offer, because 6 months—and several attempts to follow-up—later, I’ve heard nothing. From anyone. Recruiter seemed kind and genuine, but it’s the same typical HR talk to get you to schedule the interview. I was told multiple times, by 3 different employees that they would “let me know something pretty soon because we’re looking to fill the team quickly”. It’s not that hard to send out automated emails. During a pandemic, jobs are hard to come by and people everywhere are struggling. I wasn’t pursuing other opportunities because they basically told me I had the job and I reeaally wanted to work there.
Just a tip HR, don’t EMPHASIZE that you “aren’t the type of company to do that” and “we always get back to our interviewees; offer extended or not” of that isn’t something you really value. Just a really off putting experience and I’ll tell my friends the same. Think I may have dodged a bullet with this one
