La Monarca Bakery interview questions

Interviewer was really friendly and personable. I got assigned a task after the interview. I spent a long time on the project only to be ghosted, even after a follow up email. I feel incredibly disrespected of my time and disappointed in the company. Why waste applicant's time and make them do a task for a part-time job only to be ghosted?
