At this point I’ve applied to LTK nine times. The most recent application I submitted was for the Brand Platform Campaign Assistant role. I was so excited when I got an email notifying me I was selected to move forward and was instructed to submit some responses for a data analysis assignment. Less than a day later I was notified I was not selected for an interview. I expressed in my cover letter that it was my ninth time applying and honestly I feel like I was only selected to move forward to not make them look bad. I’m more than qualified, with a bachelors degree in economics and an MBA from SMU (in process) and was willing to take a pay cut for this role because I wanted to work there so badly. I feel extremely discouraged right now and don’t know how to move past this. I got my hopes up to only have them crushed. It feels like you don’t get a chance unless you have a person that works there that can vouch for you.

The interview was a video call with two of the managers. It was a pretty standard format: starting with the “tell me about yourself”, followed by questions about my experience and why I wanted the role, and finished with situational questions.
